Physicals
You MUST have a physical on file at Allatoona High School before you do any kind of physical activity/conditioning with the swim and dive team. It is due tonight. Conditioning begins on Monday, October 3rd.
Costs
The dues this year are $400. You may pay $300 tonight and give a $100 deposit that will go towards your fundraising if you fail to fulfill the fundraising requirement. If you wish to opt out of fundraising, you may write 1 check for $400 tonight. This money goes towards your swim cap, swim suit, team shirt, pool rental fees for practice, meet entry fees, food table at meets, team meals, banquet, equipment replacement, athletic fee and other team expenses.
Swim Practice Schedule
The first pool practice will be held on Monday, October 17th.
Monday: Central Aquatic Center 7-9 p.m.
Tuesday: West Cobb Aquatic Center 7:40-9 p.m.
Wednesday: Central Aquatic Center 8-9 p.m.
Thursday: Central Aquatic Center 7-8:30 p.m.
Year-Round Swimmers
You are required to attend AHS swim practice every Tuesday night at West Cobb. Every once in a while I will be asking for signed slips from your coaches saying that you are attending their practices on a regular basis. Failure to attend your regular year-round practice will result in you having to swim with us.
Divers
The County practices are held on Mondays and Wednesdays 8-9. I will be in constant communication with the diving coaches and failure to attend practices will result in you being unable to dive in a meet. If one of the coaches feels like you are unprepared to dive in a meet, we reserve the right to take you out of it.
Rentals
Equipment: There is a mandatory $30 deposit for equipment. Year-round swimmers who already have equipment do not need to give a deposit and receive our equipment.
Parkas: There is an $80 deposit for parka rental. The use of the parka is strongly recommended due to the cold weather during the swimming season.
**Deposit checks will be returned at the end of the season when all equipment/parka is returned in good condition. **
